A local tech person suggested nod32 to me a couple of years ago. This
software from Eset at www.nod32.com has a perfect track record for
capturing viruses and worms in the wild (in other words, out there on
the internet rather than in a lab situation.) You can set it to update
itself automatically in the background as needed whenever you're online.
It's worked perfectly for me both for Windows 95 and now for Windows XP.
My clients have been happy with it too. (I'm a part time computer
coach.) I started with McAfee, but on my Win95 computer it caused a lot
of freezeups - software conflicts. Then I tried Norton, but got really
tired of the way it messed up my Outlook email settings half the time.
Have had no trouble ever with nod32.
