I had the unique opportunity to work for Albert Paley last year .
What an incredible experience.
The twists that you are referring to are done on a twisting jig with an
elevator motor they are twisted very slowly over a hundred times each in his
shop these elements are called "spuds"
Some of his tables still have 'spuds" for legs.
