It ain't REALLY a raffle dontcha know.
I said raffle not them.
There is no direct connection between money expended for membership and the
anvil. For the $ there is membership, magazines etc.
Absent financial consideration it is not a raffle. Even if it does work out
on the plus side for membership dues coming in.
I think one would have to prove that the relationship was intentionally
causal, not just potentially there.
This is much more in line with putting up a notice that anyone interested in
this here anvil send in a note and a drawing will be held. In this case the
note is the ballot.
Handling the "secrecy" issue is interesting. Not that I would care much one
way or the other.
I am just happy that there seems to be more seekers than offices this time.
