Yes, that's where I've gotten all of my 5 slack tubs (1 for each county 
fair smithy we work at, our home smithy, and for the traveling demo).

The local going rate is about $25 for a half barrel and $45 for a whole 
barrel.  Our local garden center actually carries REAL whiskey barrels 
from Seagrams.  As long as they haven't been allowed to sit dry for too 
long they will swell up and hold water pretty quick.

As long as you don't let the water freeze in them (sometimes it blows out 
the bottoms) they last a good long time.
