[TheForge] digital cameras

Santa brought me an HP - 850 last Christmas. I have taken about 1500
pics
so far this year and I like it pretty well. There are some things which take
getting
used to. This is my first foray into digital photography so these may apply
to
most digital cameras.
4.1 mega-pixels.
8X optical zoom and 7X digital zoom
3 resolution/compression settings
digital viewfinder which only turns on when you look through it -saving
power
LCD viewer available - but can be left off
Up to 30 second mpeg recording and audio with still pics
Many other things which I am still experimenting with.

There are some things which take getting used to. This is my first foray
into digital
photography so these may apply to most digital cameras.
It takes a second or 2 to focus the image which makes quick shots tricky.
Some settings like shutter settings like (action / speed preference) have to
be selcted
every power on.
