[TheForge] digital cameras

We just got a FujiFilm S5000. This one has a 10X optical zoom. The
viewfinder is a little LCD, so you see through the lens, along with all
the settings you usually need the bigger LCD for. The batteries drained
after about 50 shots, but my wife uses the big LCD a lot. I don't know
how much the little LCD uses by itself, yet.

The nicest thing about the camera was the price. A 10x zoom for less
than $300. And you can get a telephoto or wide-angle lens if you need
to.
