I'm not a knife maker either, but ...  Have you ever thought of making the 
PI/LMblade Sandwich and drawing it out to make barbecue tools (e.g. meat 
fork, spatula handle, etc...)?  Sure makes for good looking cookout tools 
when etched.

Just a thought.
