Curious. I am a volunteer smith at Fort Vancouver NHS in Vancouver
Washington. It is a HBC fort. I will see if any of the historians have
info on this. I have not heard of a portable forge associated with HBC,
but it is possible. SO I will ask around
If you do find info on this could you please pass it on?
