[TheForge] weld question

It all depends on the customer and the situation, I make a lot of railings,
seems like I have 2 kinds of customers those who need somthing to hang on to
on the front steps and don't want to spend a lot, they get an all arc welded
railing w/ maybe a little forged ornament welded in place.
Then there is the customers who want something nice inside their home, they
get collars, rivets, tennons etc.
I once told a customer, whom I'm poisative had money to buy anything she
wanted , that I could assemble her railings using traditional methods and
that would look nicer.
She told me that welding would be just fine.
I don't have so much work that I can afford to be too independant, this
2003 and we have some modern conveniances and I think we ought to use them,
just because its arc welded doesn't mean it has to be sloppy and just
because it is tradional doesn't mean it's better, they both have their
place.
