This ones made of plastic but should hold up fairly well in the home shop
and works well up to 30 inches. The smaller one Clay made is the same size
as this one but his is made of steel with dovetails cut in the plate. His
larger one is made from shelf track mounted upside down to a piece of tin
sheet and uses rounded nuts for the followers.
The one from woodcrafters could be made to do larger ovals just by adding a
longer dowel.

BTW Ive got photos of Clays devices if anyone is interested. And Stephen
McGeehee (sp) was to draw it up for his magazine.
