[TheForge] magic tumblers

hello;

i have experiemented with several ways to 'drive' various
projects. the most low-tech method was to take a 100lb
propane cylinder cut the bottom off and weld the top of
another propane cylinder on. this gave me two pipe thread
opens at both ends. short pipe nibbles where threaded in
where the value normally would be. some random weld beads
around the circumference of the tank to give get traction.
made a simple yoke hitch so i could tow the propane tank
around behind the tractor. used some old shotputs in the
propane to crush glass into a fine powder. inexpensive
ball mill.

the other way i have found is to drive the cylinders with
an old tire. drive the tire with a pulley or weld a second
rim to the tire's rim. using a second rim you may drive it
with a leather belt to an old hit-and-miss engine. i would
probably have to draw a picture of this to give anyone a
clear idea of what i mean.
