This is the main entry door, the copper will be outside.  Don't know
which direction if faces.

awfully hot."

I agree and in Sedona, Arizona the tempeture is only about 10 degrees
cooler than Phoenix.  The architect has taken this into consideration 

"Also door you really mean
the equivalent of 16 gage in copper or
are you talking 16 oz. copper?"

The one thing I have learned so far about copper sheet is it is referred
to in ounces.  The sheet I use needs to be fairly stiff so that when I
make my cuts the edges dont deform.  I am talking about 16 gauge at the
very least and possibly up to 10 gauge.
