[TheForge] Fwd: Cast Iron Cookware

The Griswold Cast Iron club guy once told me to use caustic soda one cup to
a gallon of water as a soak. I did and it works beautifully removing decades
of caked on grunge from the old cast iron I pick up, but you sure don't want
to use it on aluminum. Won't be anything left in the morning but a gray
looking sludge in the bottom of the bucket.

Disclaimer!!!!! Caustic soda is very dangerous stuff. Wear a space helmet
and a full body condom when using the stuff. If you get it in your eyes
you'd better go get a dog.

Regards,
Donn
