Dave,

I have this vise as my main vise in my shop and mine which is green has cole
tool co. on the front and as I remember Anne Illinois on it as well.  I have
a green drill that clamps on to what its drilling that I got with it.  It
looks to me like your spring is too small as it doesn't keep the jaws open.
I found another one just like it at the junkyard a few years ago which
needed a spring and found a spring which I cut to length and installed and
it worked fine.  At the bottom of the long jaw it says No 11.

Does yours have the same writing on it?

I haven/t installed a leg and don't miss it.  Anyone else got one of these?
They must be pretty common as I've seen another for sale at our meetings.
