It is my understanding that ITC-100 is an IR reflector. It is supposed to 
be about 96-98% effcient.
Not sure if I have the bookmark, but there was an Aussie web site that had 
a few photos of a boiler or furnace that had a temporary
repair made to the fire box wall...... a sheet of plywood that had the 
inside surface coated with ITC-100. You could see that the furnace was up 
to temp and that flame was licking around the edge of the plywood and was 
scorching the un-treated side.

I did get a pint for my homebuilt gasser, but as of yet have not used 
it.......  I really need to.
