Not sure. The coating is very heat reflective, which is good, but
I'm not sure it would be sufficiently durable to withstand the abuse
that such a fire box would endure. I could be wrong, but I think
that tossing large hunks of wood into such a space would beat the
hell out of the coating in short order. Poured refractories are
very tough and I don't think the heat reflective nature of the
ITC-100 would be taken well advantage of here. Again, this is
just speculation in my part.
