Hi Guys-
I am wondering about this ITC-100 stuff. I work for a manufacturer of
boiler systems that burn wood. We buy the boilers themselves, but make the
rest of the entire system. The fireboxes are normally (these are industrial
units) 8 to 10 feet long by 6 to 8 feet wide, and 7 to 10 feet high. I
asked my boss if he uses this and he never heard of it. We evidently use 3
different grades of refractory in layers to achieve the needed values.
My question is, how does this stuff work and will it do us some good on
a system such as described? They also don't use Kaowool, but poured
referactories. Could such a change have any benefits for us?
I really don't know enough to ask the right questions, so please help me
out here, and let me know if I am thinking of a needed, or a wasteful
change.
Thanks for any and all help,
