[TheForge] hammer controls

Bob, Afraid I don't have a definite on that one. I ran a Bull for
30 seconds one day at Haystack up in Maine and couldn't believe how it
acted. It seemed like it had to have some sort of pressure sensing valve
that set it into the "jackhammer mode" instead of a reciprocating action
when the hammer was used wide open. For this to happen and have it not
dead head when the treadle is let go from wide open operation my guess would
be it has to be on the pressure in side......but it is just a guess. I'd
like to play with one some more to see what is going on there, but don't
know anyone that has one.
I came away from that hammer not liking it at all.......it might
have been plumbed incorrectly or something........does anyone know if all
the bulls have that starting oscillation that goes to something like a
jackhammer at full open? or was it just this particular hammer needed
attention??
I was hoping there would have been a Bull at LaCrosse to try out,
but there wasn't.

Ralph
