Rob,
So, tell me. How do you convert a photograph from a digital camera into =
one that can go into the newsletter. The photograph prints out well, even =
in B&W, but doesn't xerox well. I tried it when I was editor and got LOTS =
of complaints about the poor quality after xeroxing. I couldn't do =
anything about that, so I just stopped including photographs.

Roger,
Last November, I bought a Nikon Coolpix 775. I like it a lot.
It's 2.1 megapixels, but it's small and compact. The picture quality is
good.
I use it for pictures in our newsletter (Great Plains Blacksmithing
Association).
I spent about $400 just for the camera. I got it because it's small =
enough
to fit in a pocket easy and the controls are easy to use. I have a nice =
35mm
camera that I hardley use because it's too bulky to carry. I wanted to =
avoid
this with my digital camera. I am more likely to carry the digital and use
it because it is small and compact. Also I spent the extra money to get a
128 mb compactflash card. At maximum picture quality setting, I get about
130 pictures. At a lower setting, I get a lot more.
Hope that helps,
Rob
