[TheForge] Epoxy PRIMER?

Hello Fred, I also use the Benjamin Moore product line with great
success. I use the gray primer for interior painted work as it covers
faster, and the red like you mentioned outside.
I also find the wrought iron black is a great color and holds up
better than the flat black. The flat is sort of pourous and seems to hold
water or stay wet longer. The wrought iron black is a low luster paint that
gives great coverage and last a couple years without needing maintenance so
far as I can see.
The other way to go is with the Rustoleum "reddish in color for
rusted surfaces" as this product is really thick and stops all the small
rust from going anywhere. I use this on new metal on rails around swimming
pools and it has held up well. After this primer from rustoleum, I go with
the same wrought iron black from Benjamin Moore. Rustoleum offers a primer
for new metal, but it's bit more for the rusted metal primer - but has
worked great on new metal, as that always comes thru with some surface rust
on it from what I've seen.
