If you intend on doing gas welding you need oxy/acet.  Oxy/prop or oxy/MAPP 
(or other proprietary fuel mix) will not weld worth spit.  So if welding is 
the objective, the oxy/acet is the only way to go.  If you're mostly 
cutting, brazing, soldering, or general heating witha rosebud, then 
oxy/prop/MAPP  will work, just not as fast as oxy/acet.
