They are all flammable gas with oxygen

Carbon monoxide will kill you and so will oxygen depletion from the torch 
burning the oxygen out of the air in the apartment. Without adequate 
ventilation it is very dangerous.  If you are cutting with it the sparks 
will travel everywhere, making it a large fire hazard. It would also be a 
good way to see if your landlord has a sense of humor.

For a day or two not bad, long term buy the torch, rent the tanks.
