You just hit on one of the main problems. You THINK this is a Democracy. Even
though the government is acting like a Democracy, this country is a Republic. In
a Democracy, every idiot can vote. In a Republic, a voter is to be informed
about the issues.

Sure, Roy.  Makes it so much easier to disenfranchise people!  A farmer or
rancher needs to have (own, preferably) land.  A chemist, like me, really
doesn't.  So why should I have to, just to vote?  A poll tax is more honest.  If
that's the kind of democracy you want!

Democracy is democracy.  Everybody votes.  Even people you don't like.
