You don't own a home?  You certainly shouldn't have a vote in LOCAL
politics at all - every time the dems on our town board try to get
Zoning instituted, the ONLY people for it are the non-landholders.

At the Federal level, only landowners should have a vote. 
"Disenfranchise"?  Not at all.  Nothing is barring anyone from
owning land.  Just BUY some.

Costs too much to buy a home in NJ?  Buy an acre or three up here
by me in the Adirondacks.  Once you get north of the Park,
pastureland goes for $150/acre, wasteland (too rocky or wet to
farm, graze, or build) for around $50/acre.  Or buy some of the
government auction land - so what if it's the vertical face of a
cliff?  It's only a buck an "acre".
