[TheForge] Of anvils, and buying them...

Something I did when I first started collecting Blacksmiths tools. I placed
an ad in the local Buy/Sell paper (called the PennySaver around here).
"Wanted Blacksmithing Tools...Call ..". Let those looking to sell find you.

Ended up with two anvils, forge, various hand tools, tinners stakes and
books. Got a 175 lb. anvil for $75 Canadian. Good luck in your tool
hunting.

Gabriel,

Hoarding Anvils ? I think it starts out like a starving man looking for
food. You put out feelers to scrap iron, farm junk men, auctioneers,
etc , with "if you run across an anvil, I am really interested" After a
while you have your personal quota of good anvils, but now the word is
out, and more of them keep appearing.
