Gabriel,

Hoarding Anvils ?     I think it starts out like a starving man looking for 
food.   You put out feelers to  scrap iron,  farm junk men,  auctioneers, 
etc , with  "if you  run across an anvil,  I am really interested"  After a 
while you have your personal quota of good anvils, but  now the word is 
out, and more of them keep appearing.
