[Test-Equipment] Need recommendations for an HC-6 & FT-243 tester

I have been using a circuit designed by W6BLZ, CQ magazine July 1964.
Uses a 6BH6 and has a 1 Ma meter in the grid circuit to show activity of
the crystal. It's been my go to tester for years. I have built small
transistor style testers, mainly to take to Hamfests. If anyone wants a
