[Test-Equipment] GR 1800A VTVM

It just occurred to me that the longer of the two collars may have been meant to be used with the male "banana" plug, forming the male 774 while the shorter sleeve with the inner compression sleeve and the female "banana" socket forms the female 774. Is that possibly it?
