     I've gotten handles that work from
http://www.brettunsvillage.com/
     These have buckles at each and fit on the existing 
cleats. They are just a bit too long but work. There are 
wholesale sources that have the leather handles but Brettuns 
can get them for you. You can drill out the rivets on the 
old cleats and reuse them.
     I have not found a source for the exact handles used on 
Boonton gear although the wholesaler Brettuns referred me to 
has something close.
