In the past I've had a shoe repair shop make them. In the city I live
in, Portland Oregon there is a small shop that does
nothing but leather work.
The shoe repair shop in something like 1995 charged me $5 and the
boutique shop two years ago was $20 or $25.The result from the shoe
place was simple cut leather and stiched. The hand made leather place
you cant tell that it was not original. The second
time with the boutique shop it was free .. we got talking and I let
him put a 200C/D in his window. Inside the 200C/D was
ruined by someone. It may still be in his window. I've also had the
handles replaced on a Tek 500 series scope, and they even found
me a close match to the Tek blue. One thing with both was telling them
your not in a hurry.
