[Test-Equipment] GR1617A Standard Capacitor is Shorted

Barry -

I believe that is a 0.5 uf capacitor, not 50 uf (part no. 0236-4050). 
You might be able to use a GR Type 1409-X (catalog no. 1409-9724) 
standard capacitor to replace it, but that has a lower voltage rating 
(500 volts peak).

As far as I know that capacitor was not used in other instruments.
