[Test-Equipment] IFR Com 120 display failures

Does anyone on the list have knowledge of a replacement display, either 
the original Electro-Luminescent (EL) or a n LCD adapted unit for the 
IFR (Aeroflex) COM 120 series displays? A search of the original 
manufacturers web site, Planar systems, shows the part number 
(EL560.400) as obsolete. Schematics of the "module" are not available as 
they are still considered "Proprietary"

Are there enough units out there with display failures, partial or 
total, to be worth designing an after market replacement LCD panel for 
these communications analyzers?

At the present time I have 3 COM 120's that have partial or total 
failure of the EL display.

Anyone else in the same "boat"?

Inquiring minds would like to know.
