[Test-Equipment] General Radio 1001-A S/G inductor problem

Ok, bear with me as you're going to find out how green
I am with these.
I'm starting to understand this a bit. The TO-44
adjuster tool that's stored in the cabinet is used to
adjust these inductor cores for frequency calibration.
There is also an adjustment port on the out side to
put this TO-44 through that I just discovered and read
about. So basically I'm going to need to recalibrate
this unit and now I'm wondering how the core is
adjustable if there isn't any spring in there to push
it up. One can only adjust down.
Thanks again,
Doug
