Fred,
Thank you for the kind & detailed reply. I have attached a post I sent
in reply to Steve Harrison's post on the same precautions. I hope you
will be able to read it, although the attachment won't make it through
the reflector.

I understand about the shielded sense lines, and a ground at the power
supply end only. I will make the Kelvin connection permanent to avoid
accidental disconnection. The diodes are in place, and there may also be
resistors - I will check. There are no jumpers to remove, just separate
terminals for sense & load. I do like your idea for the added 4xxx
diodes, as the ones on the board are tiny & vy light duty, and I will
add these at the terminal strip, along with some RF suppression. I will
also use eyelet terminals for the wire connections to minimize the
chance of accidental disconnection.

I think I should also look for some of that foil-shielded/drain 2-wire
instrumentation cable. Might be able to find some this weekend at
Rochester.

Thank you for the ex-HP reference. I will download the file and save it
to read. All-in-all, a host of excellent suggestions.

I very much appreciate your advice, and will implement it all!

Best 73's
Arthur, VE3ZV
