[TenTec] QUESTIONS ABOUT MODEL 526.. 6N2 TRANSCEIVER

Just ordered a 6N2 from tentec,had reservations after reading some of the e ham reviews. anyway... anybody on the list have any comments on the rig? good or bad? a coupla of questions:
 1. I understand the rig has no provision for a external speaker,can't a nc jack be put into the rear pannel to shift the audio feed to the outside when the plug is inserted?
  I was told that the rig did not like switching power supplies,any coments on that?
  At least tentec offers a 30 day trial,if the radio has any of the major problems that so many talked about.
