Donald,
A modification for the Pegasus is simple. Drill hole in back to accommodate
a 1/4 inch jack (or 3.2mm if you prefer). Connect the tip and ring (it must
be a stereo jack) to the peg audio and connect the switching ports of the
switch to disconnect the internal speaker. if you want to make it "failsafe"
you will have to connect a rather large electrolytic cap in series with the
leg that goes to the sleeve contact to prevent the audio amp from going
"poof" if in error a mono plug was plugged in. Connect a mating stereo plug
to the external speaker connecting only the tip and sleeve. DO NOT UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEMPT TO GROUND THE PEGASUS AUDIO (unless you put an 8/4 to
8/4 Ohm isolation transformer in the output). Grounding either side of the
Peg's audio may cause serious and permanent damage to the little girl, and
may require her to visit Dr. TenTec.
Hope that is clear as mud.
Regards and a Big Yukwe from the Marshall Islands,
Ba loi yuk,
George V73GT
