Hi:  You are wasting your money by buying a "cheap tube tester." Most of
them are just emission type testers.
You need one that tests "Mutual Conductance."  Even so the best tube
tester has it's limitations.  Best way
is by tube substitution.  A good reliable tube tester can run up as high
as $500.00 or more.  So you need to determine
if your requirements are worth that type of money! Consider a Hickok, B&K
707, Weston, TV-7 etc.
