[SOC] Symantec arrogance

I Agree with Kevin on this one. If you feel you MUST pay for your virus protection, then I recommend AVG PRO. Either the free
version or the Pro version are excellent value. Since I started using AVG about a year and a half ago, I have not had a virus get
through it, and believe me a lot have tried. I bought the Pro version so that I could have a little more control over scheduling
and download times. The free version is more than adequate for most people. One of the benefits, it does NOT cause a conflict with
ANY of my running software like McAffee and Norton tend to do at times. I wouldn't give you a plug nickel for any of Symantec or
Norton's anti-virus junk. It's overpriced, not updated often enough, and since they both are big name/big ticket items, the hackers
target them and figure ways to get around them. When this happens, it's usually several days and lots of damage done before it's
figured out and fixed. With AVG I haven't had this problem.

BTW, their website is http://www.grisoft.com

I have always wondered why people pay good money for less than adequate
virus protection. For the less four years or so I have been getting
automatic upgrades of virus protection for free from AVG. Great software,
great protection, great price (FREE!), it has a very small foot print in
memory, and I don't have to do diddly squat to get it to either scan my
files or to download the upgrade every few days. Once I set up the
scheduling system everything occurs without me doing anything.

Look for Grisoft or AVG virus protection on Google and you'll be much
happier than with Symantec of Mc Afee.
    Kevin.
