> First reported in February 2002, a 2000 x 400 foot hole opened again this
> winter on North Long Lake, near Brainerd, Minnesota. Researchers have
> confirmed the water is warmer where the hole stays open, but admit they
have
> yet to have a clue explaining the cause. $4000 has already been spent on
> this reasearch, and total cost for studying the hole is expected to reach
> $10,000, according to the local newspaper, the Brainerd Dispatch.
