First reported in February 2002, a 2000 x 400 foot hole opened again this
winter on North Long Lake, near Brainerd, Minnesota. Researchers have
confirmed the water is warmer where the hole stays open, but admit they have
yet to have a clue explaining the cause. $4000 has already been spent on
this reasearch, and total cost for studying the hole is expected to reach
$10,000, according to the local newspaper, the Brainerd Dispatch.
Anyone want to nominate these guys?
