We had our own version of this over the last few years. They called themselves
"One Nation"

Anti-aboriginal, anti-immigration, anti you know the rest....

For one state election and one federal election they made a lot of noise and
once even captured 10% of the overall vote. Even had members elected to the
Queensland parliament, they all eventually defected.

THEN:

They were found in breach of the Electoral Act, seems they set the party up as a
corporation with just three shareholders, ordinary members weren't allowed into
that.

Several millions of dollars in electoral funding need to be returned.

The principals are currently facing serious charges in court.

AND: [going back a bit]

When the structure of the party was brought into question at an annual meeting,
those objecting were turfed out.

The principal person, the face of the party, Pauline Hanson [a.k.a.
Pauline-Pants-Down to the comedians], said at the time:

"We can't possibly allow ordinary people to be involved in this, this isn't a
democracy you know. If we did that the rabble would take over. We'd [the party]
soon be under the control of communists, aboriginals and asians."

So help me god, the stupid bitch actually said that...

In the last election in November it was of course "oblivionsville", then the
courts, bankruptcy and now possibly jail.

Was an entertaining show while it lasted, thank god we've finally dispensed with
our flirtation with the extreme right which seems to be now emerging in many
other countries.
