Hi agn,

Here is a Quizz, just to see if you are really a Soccer fan or not !!

Background : once agn it is abt TF1, the now well-known to you F Channel.
Pse refer also to the footnotes and pse remember that I am NOT a Soccer 
specialist and so allow some "approx" abt the translations.

In order to win the TF1 little bear "F Soccer Team", pse answer the following 
pool :

- who is the best F player (the one who has made the more goals) during WC 
2002 ?
- who is the quickest F player (sprinter) ?
- who is the most motivated F player ?
- which player has received the biggest match reward ?
- what is the IQ of Roger Lemerre ? (the F coach)
- What is the motto of the Footix (the 1998 WC F Mascot) : 
  a) "et 1, et 2, et 3 zero",
  b) "on est les champions" ("we are the champions")
  c) "allez les bleus-bleus" ("go the blue-blue")
- For how long Dugarry has he laid on the ground during the game against 
Denmark ?
- How many controls (? mastering the ball ??) have been missed by Wiltrod 
during this WC ?
- How many "marking mistakes" hae been made by Candela during the game against 
Denmark ?
- Is Thierry Roland a chauvinist ? ((see note 1 below))
- Who will go to meet the "bleus" at their come back and with which kind of 
weapon : eggs, tomatoes of GSM/cell-phone batteries ? ((note 2))
- Will the F team be invited at the BBQ organized by the Elysee on 14th of 
July ? ((note 3))
- Should we really be sorry that the players of the F team are playing in 
foreign teams assuming the fact that all Senegalese players are playing in F 
teams ?
- What is the favorite motto of Roger Lemerre : 
  a) we should not change a losing team
  b) while exiting of the terrain nose down, one can clearly see where he is 
walking
  c) Strategy, that gives headache
- What is the quotation of TF1 at the stock exchange right now ?

Note 1: Thierry Roland is one of the 2 F speakers making the sport comments and 
more precisely Soccer ones. He is a funny guy, and really "Soccer fan". I have 
heard that yesterday he was really "in the game". The challenge was to get 2 
goals more than the Denmark in this game. (As the joke runs : "we have 2 goals 
difference, but on the wrong side). And Thierry Roland was really looking for 
France to win. And it seems that after the 1st Danish goal he was saying, "Ok, 
Ok ... now we just need 3 goals".
After the 2nd Danish goal : "Ok, Ok, no pbm, just 4 goals and we are OK".
And in the last 15 minutes, he was just gg on saying : "we can still do it, 
only 4 goals to make and all is OK. Well, that is just a goal every 3 minutes 
but we can do it, I know we can do it !". All this being said with his typical 
accent and enthousiasm ;o))

Note 2: we have here 3 networks for the cell-phones. And each firm has settle 
some "special contract" with 3 leading  F players so that they 
become "consulting agent" during the WC. You should dial a special phone number 
in order to get the latest news abt the games running, any "scoop" or any tip 
abt the games to come.

Note 3: each year, on 14th of July (the 1st who asks me what is 14th of 
July ... I will fire an Exocet at him !), the President organizes a BBQ after 
the well-known "Military show". This BBQ is taking place in the garden of the 
Elysee Palace (which is just besides the US Embassy, btw). And in 1998, when 
France "has done it", the F Champions have been invited at this BBQ.

Note 4 (refer also to note 2) : F players are appearing in a lot, an huge 
quantity of ads/commercials. Check a "remake" at

The original one is : "Buvez, �liminez", which means : "Dring [this mineral 
water], Eliminate [all bad cells/calories in your body]"
The "remake" says : "Buvez, �limin�s", which means : "Dring, Eliminated"

Note 5 : here, the phone numbers starting with 0836 are the "commercial" ones, 
the one billing you 6 or 7 FRF/_minute_ (not second !), for example the "on 
line" games or the sex phone and so on. Note that 3.71 euros = 24 FRF.
