Participation in the Lloyd Godsey Memorial Snowball Group is largely governed by the honor
system.

The following are the suggested guidelines to follow when participating in the
Lloyd Godsey Memorial Snowball Group in an attempt to make it both be fair to all
and run as smoothly as possible:

1) Participants will notify the group when they have received the snowball.

2) Participants will take no more than 3-4 days to dig through the snowball,
take what they want/need from the snowball, place what they want into the snowball,
and mail the snowball out to the next participant.

3) If, for any reason, the participant will require more than 3-4 days to have the
snowball in their possession, the participant will email the group and the next participant
notifying them of the delay and providing an estimated length of the delay.

4) Participants will email the group and the next participant to receive the snowball
when they mail the snowball out to them along with an estimated date of arrival so that
the next participant will be able to anticipate receiving the snowball.

5)

a) Participants who will be unable to receive the snowball at their QTH for any reason
(such as going on vacation, etc.), will notify the group and the participant who will be
mailing the snowball to them so that the snowball can be diverted to another participant.

b) When a participant who has been unable to receive the snowball is once again able to
participate, they will notify the group, and they will be next to receive the snowball.

6) Participants who no longer wish to be a part of the snowball group will notify the
group by emailing the group to let the group know of their leaving the group. That way
they can be removed from the routing list.

7) Participants shall pack the snowball's contents in a new, large USPS flat rate
priority mail box (12" x 12" x 5 1/2"), and and take precautions to prevent the loss
of small parts while in transit. For example, sealing the box's seams with shipping
tape, using plastic trash can liners to line the inside of the box prior to placing
the contents of the snowball in the box, using small sandwich/freezer baggies to hold
the small parts/items, etc.).

8) The last participant in each group will ship the snowball to the first person in
the opposite group. Currently we have two groups, and this concept is simple. If
more participants join, and the need for more than two groups occurs, this concept
will be further refined and made clearer on the shipping list.
