[SMCARA] Antenna question

Another quick question please about hanging a dipole.

The tree I'm planning on using has no limbs for about 60 feet but I am
planning on hanging the center insulator at 35'.  Could I use a *metal*
"plant hanger" like would be used for hanging baskets?  Not sure if the
metal would interfere with the antenna.

Couldn't find anything on the internet addressing this.  They all talk
about keeping the ladder line away from parallel metal runs and not
touching tress as you all have already advised.

Has anyone made stand-offs for ladder wire?  I'm thinking of making
something from PVC pipe and fittings.
