[SMCARA] Monthly meeting - Thursday Sept. 27th

The St. Mary’s County Amateur Radio Association will have its monthly meeting this Thursday (September 27th).  As usual we’ll be meeting at the Pax River Naval Air Museum, located just outside of Pax River NAS Gate 1.  http://paxmuseum.com/page/reaching-us

We have a few things on the agenda for this meeting
1)  Approve the new Constitution and By-Laws.
    a)  If you haven’t done it already, go to the club web-site and review the new document).
    b)  In order to do this, at least two officers need to be in attendance – Officer’s please make every effort to attend this week.
    c)  Once approved, we’ll be taking nominations for officers to be elected at the October meeting.
2)  Discuss the Christmas Pot-Luck
    a)  I’ll be looking for someone to organize this.
    b)  Do we want to combine this with a mini-ham fest?
3)  Discuss helping Marty with getting his shack back on the air.
4)  Discuss the antenna party for the weekend of September 29-30.
    a)  This should only take a few hours, say starting at 10 and going to one-ish.
    b)    The new beam antenna will be ready to assemble and get up on the tower.  I’ll need someone with a pick-up to get it from my home QTH to the museum.
    c)  We’ll need people with tower climbing gear, ground support, rotator cable run... etc...  
    d)  There will be plenty of work for everyone.
5)  I’m still looking for a Field Day coordinator (or possibly a committee)...
