So you tried to get NWSchat and were denied by your Weather Forecast
Office. https://nwschat.weather.gov/
Never FEAR. I'm from the Government. I'm here to HELP!
https://weather.im/iembot/ is a good second choice.
Type the WFO office you wish to monitor. Click the sound button. When
something post in the window, it beeps and it's time to pay attention to it.
Twitter is a good second choice.
https://twitter.com/iembot_XXX < replace the XXX with the three letter
code for you WFO
Follow it on Twitter and you get instant updates from the WFO.
Neither of these solutions give you full access to NWSchat, ex.
SpotterNetwork and discussion by media and emergency managers.
Still don't know the WFO that serves you?
Go to http://www.weather.gov/, type your zip code in the search field upper
left. The result is page with your forecast from your WFO. You should be
able to find your WFO information at the bottom.
Be safe, by all means!
