Santa brought me a Davis VantageVue weather station and I'm looking into
how to post my data online.

Not sure how many of you have weather stations or if this is a good place
to ask, so let me know if there are better places to discuss. If anyone
responds, we can go off list if broader interest is limited.

Davis has an add-on for my station console that hooks directly to my
broadband router and uses WeatherLink software and website. There's another
that has a TNC and transmits my data through the APRS system. There's yet
another that hooks to my computer but only downloads data to the computer
and I would have to manually upload to the website. I think I prefer the
direct to internet solution so I can set it and forget it and display my
station data on my own website. Thoughts, or other options you've
experienced?

I'm trying to figure out if the same device will transmit my data to
Weather Underground or anywhere else. Weather Underground appears to have
more stations reporting locally than WeatherLink. WeatherLink will
automatically upload to CWOP and seems to be more connected to important
national weather resources like NOAA and NWS. Which community-based weather
websites do you consider most reliable or does it matter?
