Brands make very little difference, just be sure that whatever model you
purchase has the capability to process the S.A.M.E. codes so you can select
which county alerts you want to hear.

Fancier models will let you choose more than one county.

Really fancy models will let you choose which alerts you want to have the
alarm sound for (for example you could have the alarm sound for a Tornado
Warning for your county, but not sound for a flash flood warning if you are
sure your house is on high ground - that way the radio won't wake you up at
night for alerts you would rather sleep through).

For almost any current model, you can find the instruction manual online
either at the makers website or by doing a Google search. Read the
instruction manual to find out what the radio really does and how
complicated it is to make it do whatever you want.

Hi everybody
I have a mobile handheld weather radio that I love but I was wanting to get
one for my house. Could anybody give me a heads up on a good weather radio.
Also what are some features that I should look for
Thanks Doug
