Hi, Tom. 
Instead of dead air, you might consider twenty or thirty dits across those 60 seconds. At only 2 or 3 seconds apart, the duty cycle is still extremely low, and captures a listeners attention that a message is coming he might otherwise miss altogether during a long, silent pause and tune away. 
At a recommended 13wpm +/-, you should easily get a few V’s, your call, and 6-digit grid square and power level, etc. in well under 30 seconds. 
Good luck! A 6m beacon in Idaho will be useful. Oh, and order QSL Cards and start a dedicated logbook because the reports WILL be coming in. Mine’s been operating on 50.075 @ only 2½W for 30+ years and I’ve logged thousands of reports. (Best DX is still JA.) Vy 73 es GL!
