I install Kohler commercial units at all of my broadcast clients. Under 500 kW Kohler's rock and 75% of them run NG and the balance diesel.
NG is very reliable and safe and we have never had an outage of NG delivery or any safety issues. And unlike LP, NG doesn't collect in the low spots waiting for a source of ignition..
And the advantage of NG over diesel is that unless your diesel vendor has a genset they won't be able to fill their delivery trucks if the power is out (don't ask me why I know this)...
